I live in Stary Oskol. It is a city in the Belgorod region on the Oskol river with a population of about 224 thousand people.
Stary Oskol is an industrial city. Among the major enterprises of the city are the Stoilensky mining and processing plant and the Oskol electrometallurgical plant.
There are many attractions in our city. There are historical buildings, beautiful churches and temples. Tourists should visit the Local Lore Museum. There is also a Theater for children and youth named after B. I. Ravensky. One can see rare animals and birds in the Starooskolsky zoo.
Stary Oskol is a green city. There are well-maintained parks here. I especially like to walk in the Gornyashka arboretum.
The city has a good sports infrastructure. There are sports complexes, stadiums and swimming pools. Sports events and concerts are held at the Promagro stadium.
There are also modern shopping malls and cinemas in Stary Oskol.

Я живу в Старом Осколе. Это город в Белгородской области на реке Оскол с населением около 224 тысяч человек.
Старый Оскол - промышленный город. Среди крупных предприятий города - Стойленский горно-обогатительный комбинат и Оскольский электрометаллургический комбинат.
В нашем городе много достопримечательностей. Здесь есть исторические здания, красивые церкви и храмы. Туристам стоит обязательно посетить Краеведческий музей. Есть также Театр для детей и молодёжи имени Б.И. Равенских. А в Старооскольском зоопарке можно посмотреть на редких животных и птиц.
Старый Оскол - зеленый город. Здесь есть ухоженные парки. Мне особенно нравится гулять в дендропарке Горняшка.
В городе хорошая спортивная инфраструктура. Есть спорткомплексы, стадионы и бассейны. Спортивные мероприятия и концерты проходят на стадионе Промагро.
Также в Старом Осколе есть современные торговые центры и кинотеаты.
Я люблю свой родной город.
