I live in Solikamsk. It is a town in the Perm region with a population of about 90 thousand people.
Our town has a rich history. It used to be the main center of salt production in Russia. And now the mining and chemical industry is of great importance for the city's economy.
Solikamsk is a very beautiful town. There are many churches and historical buildings. One of the attractions is the Botanical garden named after G. A. Demidov. One can see a lot of rare plants there.
Tourists should visit the Local Lore Museum. Among its exhibits are old household items including samovars. I would also recommend to visit the Museum of history of salt and Ludmylovskaya salt well.
Solikamsk has a feature: it is divided into two parts. The Northern part (Borovsk) is located 6 km from the southern part. Between them are garden plots and industrial buildings.
The town has a fairly good sports infrastructure. Among the major sports facilities are the pool Dolphin, the House of Sport Kaliets and the stadium of the Ural plant.
Unfortunately, the environmental situation in the town is not very favorable. Another problem is the landslides in the vicinity of the town at the spent mines. I hope that these problems will be dealt with.
Overall, I like my hometown.
Я живу в Соликамске. Это город в Пермском крае с населением около 90 тысяч человек.
Наш город имеет богатую историю. Когда-то он был главным центром производства соли в России. И сейчас горно-химическая промышленность имеет большое значение для экономики города.
Соликамск - очень красивый город. Здесь много церквей и исторических зданий. Одной из достопримечательностей является Ботанический сад имени Г. А. Демидова. Там можно увидеть много редких растений.
Туристам стоит посетить Краеведческий музей. Среди его экспонатов - старинные предметы быта, в частности самовары. Также я бы рекомендовала посетить Музей истории соли и Людмилинскую соляную скважину.
У Соликамска есть одна особенность: он разделен на две части. Северная часть (Боровск) расположен в 6 км от Южной части. Между ними расположены садовые участки и промышленные здания.
В городе достаточно хорошая спортивная инфраструктура. Среди крупных спортивных объектов - бассейн Дельфин, Дом Спорта Калиец и стадион завода Урал.
К сожалению, в городе не самая благоприятная экологическая ситуация. Еще одна проблема - это обвалы грунта в окрестностях города на отработанных рудниках. Надеюсь, эти проблемы будут как-то решаться.
В целом, мне нравится мой родной город.
