I live in Komsomolsk-on-Amur. It is a city in the Far East of Russia with a population of about 240 thousand people.
Komsomolsk-on-Amur is an industrial city. Among the major enterprises are the Gagarin aviation plant and the Amur shipbuilding plant.
The climate of our region is quite harsh. But the nature is very beautiful. The city is surrounded by taiga.
Unfortunately, the environmental situation in the city is not favorable. Industrial enterprises are a source of pollution. In addition, forest fires sometimes lead to heavy smoke.
There are no trams in the city any more. I think it's bad. After all, trams are a relatively eco-friendly type of transport.
Among the city's attractions, I would mention the Local History Museum and Drama Theater. The Zoological center "Python" is also worth visiting.
Our city is quite green. There are parks and squares. The largest green zone in the city is Silinsky Park. Public holidays and festivals are often held there. There are ski complexes around the city.
So, living in Komsomolsk-on-Amur has its pros and cons.

Комсомольск-на-Амуре - промышленный город. Среди крупных предприятий города - авиационный завод имени Ю. А. Гагарина и Амурский судостроительный завод.
Климат нашего края довольно суровый. Но природа здесь очень красивая. Город окружен тайгой.
К сожалению, экологическая обстановка в городе не благоприятная. Промышленные предприятия являются источником загрязнения. К тому же лесные пожары иногда приводят к сильному задымлению.
В городе больше нет трамваев. Я думаю, это плохо. Ведь трамваи - относительно экологичный вид транспорта.
Среди достопримечательностей города я бы отметил Краеведческий музей и Театр Драмы. Также стоит посетить Зоологический центр "Питон".
Наш город достаточно зеленый. Здесь есть парки и скверы. Самая большая зеленая зона в городе - Силинский парк. Там часто проходят городские праздники и фестивали. В окрестностях города есть лыжные базы.
Так что проживание в Комсомольске-на-Амуре имеет свои плюсы и минусы.
