I live in Bratsk. It is a city in the Irkutsk region on the Angara river with a population of about 225 thousand people. One of the largest hydroelectric power stations in Russia is located here.
The nature of our region is very beautiful. The city is surrounded by taiga. A huge reservoir was created during the construction of the hydroelectric dam.
Bratsk is an industrial city. Among the major enterprises of the city are Bratsky aluminum plant and Bratsky timber industry complex.
Unfortunately, industry has a negative impact on the environment. Forest fires also become a source of air pollution. In this regard, residents of the city have serious concerns for their health.
Although Bratsk is a young city, there are attractions here. One can learn about the history of lighting devices in the Museum of light. The Art exhibition hall hosts a variety of exhibitions. Tourists should visit the Architectural and ethnographic Museum Angarsk village named after O. Leonov.
There are beautiful temples and churches in Bratsk. One can see sculptures and monuments on the streets of the city. There are theaters and cinemas as well as sports facilities.
Overall, I like my native city. I'm used to it, and I have a lot of friends here. However, I would like to live in a more environmentally friendly place.

Природа нашего края очень красива. Город окружен тайгой. При строительстве ГРЭС было создано огромное водохранилище.
Братск - промышленный город. В числе крупных предприятий города - Братский алюминиевый завод и Братский лесопромышленный комплекс.
К сожалению, промышленность оказывает негативное влияние на экологическую обстановку. Лесные пожары также становятся источником загрязнения воздуха. В связи с этим жители города испытывают серьезные опасения за свое здоровье.
Хотя Братск - молодой город, здесь есть достопримечательности. В Музее света можно познакомиться с историей осветительных приборов. В Художественном выставочном зале проходят разнообразные выставки. Туристам стоит посетить Архитектурно-этнографический музей Ангарская деревня им. О. Леонова.
В Братске есть красивые храмы и церкви. На улицах города можно увидеть скульптуры и памятники. В городе работают театры и кинотеатры, а также спортивные объекты.
В целом, мне нравится мой родной город. Я к нему привык, и у меня здесь много друзей. Однако, мне бы хотелось жить в более экологически чистом месте.
