I live in Mezhdurechensk. It is a town in the Kemerovo region with a population of about 95 thousand people. The town is located between the Tom and Usa rivers.
The basis of the town's economy is coal mining. Many residents work as miners. There are monuments in the town that remind us that this is quite dangerous work: a Memorial to the Deceased Miners in the public park and a Memorial to the Deceased Miners of the L. D. Shevyakov mine.
There are other thematic sculptures: a Monument to the geologists of Mezhdurechensk and a sculpture composition "In the footsteps of father".
In General, our town is quite quiet and green. There are many beautiful places here. One of the attractions of Mezhdurechensk is the musical fountain on the Concord Square.
The city has two large palaces of culture, a Local Lore Museum and an Exhibition hall.
The city has a good sports infrastructure. There are several sports schools, the Kristall ice Palace, two stadiums, and even a paintball club. There is a large ski complex on the Yugos mountain.
I love my hometown. But I don't want to be a miner, and there aren't many other jobs here. So I may have to move in the future.
Я живу в Междуреченске. Это город в Кемеровской области с населением около 95 тысяч человек. Город расположен между реками Томь и Уса.
Основа экономики города - добыча каменного угля. Многие жители работают шахтерами. В городе есть памятники, напоминающие о том, что это довольно опасная работа: Мемориал погибшим горнякам в городском парке и Мемориал Погибшим шахтерам шахты им. Л. Д. Шевякова.
Есть и другие тематические скульптуры: Памятный знак Геологам Междуреченска и скульптурная композиция «По стопам отца».
В целом наш город довольно тихий и зеленый. Здесь много красивых мест. Одной из достопримечательностей Междуреченска является музыкальный фонтан на Площади Согласия.
В городе работают два больших дворца культуры, краеведческий музей и выставочный зал.
В городе хорошая спортивная инфраструктура. Здесь есть несколько спортшкол, ледовый дворец «Кристалл», два стадиона и даже пейнтбольный клуб. А на горе Югос расположен крупный горнолыжный комплекс.
Я люблю свой родной город. Но я не хочу быть шахтером, а других рабочих мест здесь мало. Поэтому, возможно, в будущем мне придется переехать.
