Как работать с каждым текстом:

  1. Прочитайте заголовок и подумайте, о чём будет текст.
  2. Прочитайте текст целиком один раз, не останавливаясь на незнакомых словах.
  3. Посмотрите словарик под текстом.
  4. Прочитайте задания и вернитесь к тексту, чтобы найти нужное место.
  5. Ответьте и сверьтесь с пояснением.

Три варианта в заданиях на понимание означают следующее:

  • True — в тексте сказано именно так.
  • False — в тексте сказано противоположное.
  • Not stated — в тексте об этом нет информации, ни «да», ни «нет».

Часто ошибаются, выбирая False вместо Not stated. Если в тексте нельзя найти предложение, которое опровергает утверждение, ответ — Not stated.

A Trip to Edinburgh

Last October, Mia Brown and her class went on a school trip to Edinburgh, the capital of Scotland. They travelled by train from London, and the journey took about four and a half hours. Mia sat next to her best friend, Lucy, and they played cards all the way.

On the first day, the students visited Edinburgh Castle. It stands on a high hill in the centre of the city. Their guide told them that people have lived on this hill for thousands of years. Mia liked the view from the castle walls most of all.

On the second day, it was cold and rainy, so the teacher changed the plan. Instead of a walk in the park, the class went to the National Museum of Scotland. Lucy’s favourite part was the hall with animal skeletons, but Mia preferred the old clothes and toys.

In the evening, the students had dinner in a small café and tried haggis, a traditional Scottish dish. Lucy didn’t like it, but Mia ate everything on her plate.

The trip lasted three days. When Mia came home, she told her parents, ‘I want to go back to Scotland next summer.’

The School Science Club

Every Wednesday after lessons, about fifteen students meet in Room 12 for the Science Club. The club is run by Mr Green, a physics teacher. Tom Wilson, who is thirteen, joined the club two years ago.

This term, the club is building a small weather station. The students have already made a rain gauge from a plastic bottle, and now they are working on a wind vane. Every morning, two members check the instruments and write the results in a notebook. At the end of each month, they make a chart and put it on the school website.

Tom’s job is to measure the temperature. He says it is the most boring job, but also the most important one, because without the temperature the weather report is not complete.

Last spring, the club took part in a science fair in their town. Their project about clean water won second prize. Mr Green was very proud of them.

Next year, Tom wants to start a robotics group inside the club. He has already asked his friends, and six of them want to join.

Последний текст длиннее, а задания разные: вопросы на понимание, поиск слова в тексте и формы глаголов. Такой формат похож на проверочную работу по чтению.

A Day Without Phones

Last month, our class teacher, Ms Petrova, suggested an experiment: one Saturday without phones. At first, most of us laughed. ‘Impossible,’ said my friend Artem. But in the end, twenty-two students out of twenty-five agreed to try.

On Saturday morning, I woke up and automatically reached for my phone. Then I remembered and put it in a drawer. I felt strange for the first hour. Then I went to the kitchen and helped my dad make breakfast. We talked about his school years, and I learnt that he played the guitar in a band when he was fifteen.

Тексты для чтения 7 класс английский язык с заданиями: как заниматься дальше

Один текст для чтения в 7 классе на английском лучше разбирать за 20–30 минут, а не читать три подряд наспех. Так новые слова успевают запомниться.

Что помогает после выполнения заданий:

  1. Перескажите текст в 4–5 предложениях своими словами: The text is about a school trip. The students visited a castle. — Текст о школьной поездке. Ученики посетили замок.
  2. Выпишите 5 новых слов с примерами из текста.
  3. Через два-три дня прочитайте тот же текст вслух и проверьте, понятен ли он без словарика.
  4. Придумайте своё утверждение True / False по тексту и проверьте друг друга с одноклассником или родителем.

Типичные ошибки в заданиях на чтение:

  • Ответ по смыслу «как в жизни», а не по тексту. Если в тексте не сказано, что Люси бывала в Шотландии, ответ Not stated, даже если это кажется вероятным.
  • Слово похоже, но смысл другой. В тексте Lucy didn’t like it, а в утверждении Mia didn’t like it. Проверяйте, о ком идёт речь.
  • Неверная форма слова при вставке. Если в предложении есть last spring, глагол обычно стоит в Past Simple.
